[03.11.09] - Finally the city of Herne has got its own running event. The BIG 25 Herne will be a 25 k race, which will take place on 18th April 2010. Besides the 25 k distance there will be a relay race as well as an event for companies. The race is staged by WE ARE RUNNING, an organiser who has established itself well in Berlin.
In the German capital the organiser has successfully taken over the traditional 25 k race. In cooperation with the health service company ,BIG direkt gesund’ the BIG 25 Berlin are run early in May each year. The success story of the 25 k race in Berlin will now be transformed to Herne, which is in the Ruhr area of Germany not far from Dortmund. The area is known to be home for a large number of fun runners so that the venue is regarded being ideal for such an event.
